Badoo is the world's largest and fastest growing social network for meeting new people. First launched in 2006, it has around 140 million registered users worldwide and more than 125,000 new users signing up every day. You can check it out at Badoo.com.
The Badoo Project is a quest to help New Yorkers say a very personal 'Hello' to their city. It kicks off with a 3 day photoshootathon, where 4 hot photographers will undertake the ambitious task of capturing 1000 portraits of New Yorkers.
Based on personality, energy and individuality, a final 24 will then get the chance to say 'hello' to the city. Every billboard, banner and media across New York will star one of their faces.
Because New York is the coolest, most diverse and thrilling city in the world, and we want to find people just like you.
You can sign up for the shoot at http://theproject.badoo.com/registration.phtml
Anyone 18 or older can enter.
The photo shoot event will be held on March 22nd, 23rd and 24th.
The shoot will take place at 74 Mercer Street, 2nd Floor, between Spring and Broome Street, in the heart of Soho.
When you register online, you will be assigned a designated time slot for your photo shoot. Please arrive promptly at that designated time. If you were confirmed only for a general admission slot, please arrive on the designated date. General admission is from 7pm to 9pm. The earlier you arrive for general admission, the better your chances of being photographed.
You don’t need a Badoo account in order to register for the photo shoot. When you arrive at the event, you’ll have to create a Badoo account in order to proceed into the photo shoot. We’ll have our Badoo team on-hand to assist you in setting up a profile, which should only take a few moments.
There will be 24 winners.

The photos will be uploaded to your Badoo profile and may also appear on The Badoo Project website. You’ll also receive a print of one of your photos at the event.
By participating in the photo shoot, you’ll automatically be eligible to become one of the faces of the Badoo Project. After the three day event, a panel of Badoo judges will decide on 22 of the winners. The other 2 winners will be selected based on popular vote – so make sure you spread the word and get your friends to ‘Like’ your photo on The Badoo Project website! And remember, the earlier you come in for a photo shoot, the more time people will have to vote on your photos!
We will notify the final 24 winners in or around the first week of April 2012.
The final 24 will be selected to appear on billboards and all kinds of media across New York City. Very exciting stuff!
